Mount Edgcumbe, with its beautiful landscaped gardens (pictured above) and coastal walks overlooking Plymouth Sound and Cawsand Bay is close by and is an great location for a memorable day out with plenty to amuse adults, children and four legged friends.

The imposing National Trust house and lovely gardens at Antony, famous as the location for the film Alice in Wonderland, is also nearby and offers a great day out for all the family.

The fishing villages of Kingsand, Cawsand, Looe and Polperro are a short distance and popular with holiday makers looking to relax and unwind with an ice cream on the beach or stroll the quaint streets with a Cornish pasty in hand. Fishing and sight seeing boat trips run from the harbours in Looe and Polperro and both lie on the South West Coast Path which offers miles of stunning sea views meandering to Whitsand Bay to the east and on to Fowey in the west.

Within an hours drive the world famous Eden Project sits deep within an old Cornish China Clay pit and further west the Lost Gardens of Heligan wait to be found.

The Liscawn is only a short drive from the city of Plymouth with the narrow, historic streets of the Barbican and the renowned National Marine Aquarium all worth a visit. Dartmoor and dozens of National Trust properties are also within easy reach in Devon.
